Seraphinite is a rare, deep green gemstone found almost exclusively in a remote region of Siberia, Russia.

It is a variety of clinochlore, a mineral in the chlorite family, and gets its trade name from the shimmering silver-white fibers that fan across its surface, resembling feathers.

No two stones display the same pattern of chatoyancy.

Seraphinite is a relatively soft stone on the Mohs scale, which is why it is more often cut for cabochons and collector pieces than faceted. Its silky, feathered inclusions are formed from fine mica fibers within the stone, giving each piece a distinct, almost luminous quality when angled in the light.

Each cabochon in this listing is cut and polished from natural seraphinite. Please refer to the item code and measurements in the title for the exact piece pictured, as coloring and pattern will vary stone to stone.
