Charoite is a rare violet gemstone found in only one place on Earth: the Murun Mountains of Siberia, Russia. Its swirling patterns of deep purple, lavender, and white formed through a rare geological process, where mineral-rich fluids transformed ancient limestone over millions of years. No two stones share the same pattern.
Genuine charoite is often identified by its fine inclusions of other minerals, such as feldspar streaks or fine black needles, and a soft, silky luster rather than a glassy one.
Each cabochon in this listing is cut and polished from natural charoite. Please refer to the item code and measurements in the title for the exact piece pictured, as coloring and pattern will vary stone to stone.
